Hei.
Satuin iltana eräänä taas kurkkaamaan Apple Storesta, löytyisikö sieltä mitään ajanviete peliä. Satuin törmäämään peliin nimeltä Hill Climb ja se vaikutti ihan mielenkiintoiselta ja sellaiselta jossa ei juurikaan tarvitse ajatella. Minkälainen peli sitten lopultansa oli?
Pelissä ajetaan autoa käyttämällä ruudun reunoista löytyvää kaasu- ja jarrupoljinta. Kun pyörät ovat maata vasten, ne toimivat juuri niinkuin kuuluisivatkin toimia mutta ilmalentojen aikana polkimet toimivat vähän niinkuin suuntavakaimina.
Tehtävänä pelissä on siis saada varsin hampparin näköinen ukkeli autoinen mahdollisimman pitkälle epätasaisessa maastossa. Auton jouset ovat todella löysät ja maasto niin kuoppainen, että auton pitäminen oikein päin on välillä todella haastavaa.
Ilmalennot ovatkin usein melko komeita ja niissä saa todella olla tarkkana, että auto tulee oikein päin alas. Matkan varrella on myös kolikoita ja bensa kanistereita, joita tulee kerätä mahdollisimman paljon. Kerättyjä kolikoita tarvitaan parempien osien tai uusien menopelien ostamiseen. Lisäksi kolikoilla voi myös avata uusia kenttiä. Bensa kuluu koko ajan matkan aikana, joten bensa kanisterin keräämättä jättäminen aiheuttaa hyvin nopeasti matkan loppumisen.
Matka päättyy joko bensan loppumiseen tai kuskin niskan katkeamiseen kun ollaan saatu auto väärinpäin. Peli ei kuitenkaan lopu siihen vaan siihen asti saadut kolikot saa pitää ja mikäli niitä on kerääntynyt tarpeeksi, pääsee ostoksille.
Autoon (tai muuhun menopeliin) voi ostaa uuden moottorin, jousituksen, renkaat tai voimansiirron. Tasot näissä on 1 – 16 hintojen kasvaessa joka pykälällä.
Loppupäätelmä
Fysiikkamallinnus on kaukana todellisuudesta. Se on kuitenkin erittäin viihdyttäväksi ja hauskaksi tehty ja sen takia tätä peliä tulee pelattua monta ajoa peräkkäin. Kontrollit ovat yksinkertaiset ja kun kaasun painaa pohjaan heti startissa, heittää auto keulan pystyyn. Kaasua pitääkin osata säädellä jos mielii päästä vähänkään pidemmälle. Jarru on käyttökelpoinen lähinnä ilmalennoissa auton vakauttamiseen.
Peli on erittäin viihdyttävä ja lisäautot/kentät tuovat lisäaikaa normikenttiin kyllästymisen jälkeen. Peli on muuten saatavissa myös ainakin Androidille Google Playsta.

On one evening I browsed Apple Store if there was some easy and entertaining game to be found. I came across a game called Hill Climb an it seemed interesting and something where you can leave your brains sleeping. So how was this game like?
You drive a car thought the varying terrain with a gas- and brake pedals found on each corner of the screen. When you have the wheels on the ground the pedals work as they are supposed to but when you are up in the air, they function as fly stabilizers.
So the purpose of this game is to get this hobo looking driver as far as possible in very rough terrain. The suspension on the car is very loose and the road is so bumpy that keeping the car wheels down is quite a task.
The jumps on this car are usually pretty awesome and you need to be carefully not to bring it down upside down. There are also coins and gasoline canisters along the road and you’re supposed to pick as many of them up as you can. You need coins for buying improvement parts or new vehicles or to open up new terrains. You consume gas while driving so you need to pick up the canisters or else your trip is ending prematurely.
Your journey ends either to breaking your drivers neck when you’re upside down or to the ending of gas. That doesn’t mean the game is over, you just get the coins gathered to that point and if you have enough, you can go spend them.
You can buy 4 kinds of improvements for your vehicle. A new motor, suspension, tires or drivetrain. These have levels 1 to 16 and each level cost more coins.
Conclusion
The physics on this game are far from reality. It has been made very entertaining and fun though and that is why I keep playing this game over and over again. The controls are very simple and when you step on the gas at the start, the front end get up pretty fast. You need to control the amount of gas you give if you intend to get further on the track. The brakes are useful on the flight stabilizing.
This game is very entertaining and the extra cars and tracks give some extra time for the game. This game is also available for Android OS from Google Play.
