Hei.
Tällä kertaa mulkaisimme tänään 8.11.2012 Rovio:lta ilmestyneen uusimman pelin Angry Birds -sarjaan eli Angry Birds Star Wars. Tämä on siis vanhaa tuttua Angry Birdsiä mutta tällä kertaa Star Wars -maisemissa. LucasArts on hommassa ollut mukana ja tämä näkyy ja kuuluu.
Testilaitteena toimi tällä kertaa Applen Iphone 5.
Latauskuvassa näämme monta Tähtien sota -elokuvista tuttua hahmoa. Linnuiksi muutettuina. Chewbacca ja 3CPO ovat ulkonäöllisesti omia suosikkejani.
Alussa tulee tutuksi tullut ”A long time ago in a galaxy far far away” ja yllä oleva logo. Sen jälkeen päästään alkuvalikkoon. Ensimmäisenä planeettana on valittavana Tatoiine (Star Wars episode 4 – A new Hope), joka on siis Luken kotiplaneetta. Punainen lintu esittää tässä pelissä Lukea ja onkin saanut peliä varten kasvatettua hienon vaalean tukan. Ensiksi saadaan katsella elokuvan alkutapahtumat lintuversiona ja kuvasarjana.
Kenttiä riittää tässäkin vaiheessa ja ensin aloitetaan helpoilla.
Ensimmäisessä kentässä on sitten vastassa Sand peo..Pigs:ejä eli possuja kääreet naamalla. Niitä sitten yritetään listiä Luke-linnuilla. Taustalla näkyy hienosti kaksi aurinkoa ja planeetan asumuksia, vaikkakin se maja näyttää kovasti possulta.
Neljännen kentän jälkeen mukaan saadaan Ben Kenobi -lintu…eli musta lintu. Tällä on sitten voima mukanaan ja lähestyessään possuja, sillä voi tähdätä tiettyyn suuntaan ja tehdä tuhoa tähdättyyn suuntaan.
Myös Kenobi-linnulla on vastassaan Sand People -possuja.
Loppupäätelmä
Pidän kovasti Tähtien sota teemasta. Olen myös aina pitänyt Angry Birds peleistä vaikkakaan en kauheasti ole niitä ehtinyt pelaamaan. Kuitenkin sen verran, että tämä tuli ostettua heti kun tajusin sen olevan julkaistu.
Musiikki Angry Birds Star Wars pelissä on suoraan elokuvasta kuten myös äänitehosteet. Kovin montaa tasoa en vielä pelannut, jotta tämä säilyisi pikamulkaisuna. Tälläkin pelimäärällä voin kuitenkin sanoa, että tämä on kyllä varsin hyvä ostos ja mielettömän kivaa ajanvietettä. Tasot ja itse pelaaminen on sitä samaa vanhaa Angry Birdsiä. Virkistävällä teemalla on kuitenkin saatu jälleen uutta kiinnostavuutta ainakin niille, jotka Tähtien sota teemasta pitävät.
Tatoiine on vasta ensimmäinen planeetta. Sen jälkeen näyttäisi olevan ainakin kuolemantähti, jääplaneetta Hoth ja ”Jedin tie”. Lisäksi vielä bonus kentät. Mikäli vanhat merkit pitää paikkansa, uusia tasoja julkaistaan päivityksenä tasaisin väliajoin.
This time we took a Quickglance on Rovio’s newest Angry Birds game called Angry Birds Star Wars. This is all good old Angry Birds but this time in a Star Wars theme. LucasArts has been involved in this game and that really shows and sounds.
We tested the game on Apple Iphone 5 this time.
We can see many familiar characters on the loading screen. Transformed in to birds. Chewbacca and 3CPO are my personal favorites by the looks.
At the beginning we get the infamous ”A long time ago in a galaxy far far away” ja the logo above. After this, we get to the main menu. The first planet you’re going to get to is Tatoiine which is the home planet for Luke Skywalker. Red bird acts as Luke in this game and for the role it has grown a nice blond hair. At first, you’ll get a set of screens telling the beginning of the story in Star Wars episode 4 – a new hope…with birds of course.
There’s quite many levels at this point too and you begin with the easy ones.
On the first level, you need to fight with Sand peo…pigs. Or lets call them sand people pigs. They have straps on their faces like the original ones and you need to hit them with the Luke birds. You can see the 2 suns of Tatoiine on the background and also a home of the Tatoiine people. Home looks a bit like a pig though.
After the 4th level, you get a new bird. Ben Kenobi aka the black bird. Kenobi knows the force and therefor when you get close to the pigs, you aim at them and it will do damage to that direction.
Kenobi bird also fights with the Sand people pigs.
Conclusion
I like the Star Wars theme a lot. I’ve always liked the Angry Birds games too even though I haven’t had much time to play them. I’ve played them enough so that as soon as I heard this to been released, I bought it from Apple Store.
Music and sound effects were just like in the Star Wars movies. I did’t play many levels yet to keep this a quick glance. I can tell you even with this experience that I’m glad I bought this and it’s really nice game to kill your time. The levels and play are same old Angry Birds but with this new theme it has been refreshed and more of less will keep me occupied for a long time. I’m sure it’s the same for all who like Star Wars theme and like to play.
Tatoiine is just the first planet. After Tatoiine there is at least the Death star, ice planet Hoth and something called ”the path of the Jedi”. Then there is extra levels. If this is like the earlier games from Rovio, you’ll get new levels as free updates very often.
