Volvon farkkumallit mielletään yleensä aika kantikkaiksi ja V70 hyvin tilavaksi. V50 taas on loppujen lopuksi aika pieni mutta silti sama kantikkuus.
Nyt mulkaistiin kuitenkin farkku joka tekee poikkeuksen eli V60 joka pyöreämmillä linjoillaan on aivan eri näköinen.
Edestäpäin auto muistuttaa mielestäni aika paljon Mazda kuutosta, tosin ritilän kohdalta ei vaan se pullistuu enemmän eteenpäin. Volvo V60 on matalampi kuin V70 tai V50 jos ne laitetaan vierekkäin. Tämä saakin V60:n näyttämään urheilullisemmalta.
Eniten auto eroaa muista Volvo farkuista peräpäästä. Tämä ei näytä seinään ajetulta vaan perä on hyvinkin pyöreämuotoinen. Se tietenkin syö hieman korkeutta tavaratilasta mutta luulen että tämä ostetaan jostain muusta syystä kuin maksimoidakseen tavarankuljetusmäärää.
Sisätilat ovat aika perinteisen oloiset, mutta samalla käytännölliset. Penkit ovat mukavat ja tukevat sopivalla pehmeydellä. Olen testannut volvoja sekä manuaali että automaattilaatikolla ja mielestäni automaatti sopii Volvoon kaikkein parhaiten.
Volvo V60:stä jäi varsin hyvä kuva ja mielelläni sitä ajaisin uudelleenkin ja hieman pidemmän matkan.

Volvo’s Wagon models are usually thought of as pretty squared and V70 as a very large. Volvo V50 is much smaller but still the same squareness remains.
This time we glanced at a wagon that makes an exception, the V60 with smoother lines in it’s design looks totally different.
It looks a bit like the Mazda 6 from the front, except not from the front grille where it sort of bulges forward. Volvo V60 is lower than V70 and V50 if they are put next to each other. This makes the V60 look more like a sports car.
But the place where it differs most from the rest of the Volvos is the rear end. This one doesn’t have the usual ”reversed fast to a brick wall” to make the rear design but it’s actully quite roundy. Naturally it takes some space from the trunk but somehow I think this Volvo is bought with different reasons than to maximize the load you can carry.
The interior is quite traditional but also practical. Seat are confortable and support with a nice softness. I’ve tested these Volvos with both automatic and manual gearbox and I think that if you have a Volvo, get it with an automatic gearbox.
I got a relatively nice picture of the Volvo V60 and I would gladly drive it again…this time a bit longer journey.
