Pääsimme mulkaisemaan uusio version vanhasta klassikosta eli Fiat 500. Ajoimme myös 500C:n mutta emme päässeet kokeilemaan sen avokatto ominaisuuksia joten en käsittele tässä sitä.
Auto muistuttaa ulkoapäin hyvin paljon vanhaa esikuvaansa vaikkakin on uuden näköinen. Omasta mielestäni tämä Fiat 500 on oikeastaan hyvännäköinen auto…ei tosin ihme kun tulee samalta konsernilta kuin Ferraritkin 🙂 Jotenkin tuo urheilullisuus paistaa tähänkin. Aika moni uusiomalli kasvaa myös uusien autojen mittoihin. Ilokseni voin sanoa että tämä on aika kapea ja lyhyt vieläkin. Oikea pikkuauto siis.
Sisälle kun menee niin tulee sellainen olo että meninkö tosiaan tuohon pikkuautoon. Sisätilat tuntuvat silti avarilta. Ovi on suuri ja se myös aukeaa leveälle (tuottaa normaalisti ongelmia markettipaikoilla mutta tämä on onneksi sen verran kapea että kompensoi). Auton sisustuksessa on käytetty hyvin paljon valkoista. Ei siis likaisilla käsillä sisään koska niistä jää välittömästi jäljet rattiin. Ikkunat toimivat sähköllä mutta niiden säätimet eivät ole ovissa vaan keskikonsolissa vaihdekepin molemmin puolin. Piti ensin vähän hakea, mutta napit ovat sen verran kookkaita ettei löytäminen loppujen lopuksi vienyt kauaa.
Kojelaudan keskellä on suuri pyöreä nopeusmittari ja sen ympärillä pienempiä mittareita. Sisätilat vaikuttivat tyylikkäiltä ja sopivilta juuri tähän autoon. Autosta jäi hyvä mieli. Kaupunkiautoksi tämä olisi vallan loistava mutta pidemmille matkoille valitsisin silti jotain vähän isompaa 🙂
Ajomatka jäi tällä kertaa sen verran lyhyeksi, että ajo-ominaisuuksia en juurikaan päässyt testaamaan. Päivitän tuntemuksiani tähän sitten heti jos ensi kerralla matka ois vähän pidempi kuin 50m. No sen verran voinen kertoa kuitenkin että auton parkkeeraaminen normaalikokokoiseeen parkkiruutuun sujuu helposti ja että auto on sen verran kapea että mahtuu kulkemaan myös pyörätietä 🙂 Näkyvyys ulos on hyvä, mikä näkyi nimenomaan parkkeerauksessa.
C malli on varmasti mukava kesällä. Fiat sivujen mukaan katossa olisi ollut 3 eri asentoa joista yhdessä se toimii spoilerina (lol).
We got a chance to glance the new version of the classic Fiat 500. We also tested the 500C but since we couldn’t test the opening roof, there’s no point glancing it further.
This new 500 looks a lot like the predecessor even though it looks new. I think it really looks quite pretty and when we think about it, what more can you expect from a group that also makes Ferraris. Something there brings that sporty looks in this too. Quite many of the models that have been brought back are also getting larger. This one though is still small and narrow. A true small car.
When you enter inside, you start to doubt if you really went to the right car. Inside feels so spacy. Door is big and opens up wide (not good for parking lots in a supermarket). They have used a lot of white in the interior so beware of dirty hands when entering. Maybe getting a special white cotton gloves. Windows are electric operated but their swithes were not in the usual spot on the door. They were on the middle console on both sides of the gearswitch. Took me awhile to find them but as they are fairly big, they should be found.
In the middle of the dashboard there is the speedometer and many smaller meters are around it. The interior seems sophisticated and fits right into this special car. Fiat 500 gave me a good feeling and for a city car this would be absolutely marvellous. For the longer journeys I would pick another car though.
Test drive was too short this time too and I couldn’t properly test the road qualities. I will update my feelings here later on if I ever get a proper chance. What I can tell is that there’s not much easier car than this to park and it even fits to drive on the road meant for bicycles. The visibility is good and that is perfect for tight city driving.
C-model must be great in the summer. Fiat website even says that the roof has 3 different postions where on one position the roof is acting as a rear spoiler. LOL!
