Paperiaskartelu / Papercraft

Hei.

No tässä teille kuvat.

LandCruiser

Hi.

About 3-4 years ago I found myself in Canonin papercraft website and for fun and testing I made the item below.

The idea in these papercrafts are that you print the pages that have ready parts for the object. Then you just cut them off the paper and fold as instructed and glue together to get the desired model. If you use a color printer, you’ll get pretty nice looking models. Or let’s say that as nice as you can get with folded paper.

I had already forgotten the whole thing when last week Toyota had some patterns for a Toyota LandCruiser.

I just had to give it a test and in the end of the day it turned out to be rather easy. If making this kind of car models interest you more, there was a mention in that same article about a Japanese web site that has patterns for making a Toyota GT-86. The links in that Blog article didn’t seem to work anymore but with some investigation I found them and here is the direct link. The page and instructions are in Japanese but it didn’t take much of an effort to make the right guess. Making that car didn’t seem easy though. I will require a great amount of time, patience and steady hands. I haven’t found such time yet but I did print them out.

My daughter got excited about these papercrafts and we did one bunny from that Canon page together.

So how did my papercraft turned out to be like? Here’s some pictures I took of them.

This is how my Land Cruiser looks like.

And there was that bunny we made.

So if you got excited about this, go ahead and try. Only thing you need is scissors and some paper glue (after printing of course) and steady hands.
