Vihdoin vuorossa jotain uutta eli tällä kertaa mulkaistiin Audin versio pienestä urheiluautosta eli TT.
Auto on erittäin pyöreä muodoiltaan…itse asiassa mahtaakohan siinä olla ainuttakaan kulmaa 🙂 . Auto on myös hyvin matala ja ovet ovat suuret kokoon nähden. Suuret ovet tuovat yleensä helpotusta sisäänkäyntiin ja ulostuloon mutta ahtailla markettien pihalla ne eivät ole kovin käytännöllisiä, koska tarvitsevat myös aika suuren tilan avautuakseen.
Sivuikkunaa on oikeastaan tosi vähän tai ainakin ikkuna on todella matala. Tällä autolla kannattaa ajaa leveällä tiellä ja mielummin eteenpäin. Näkyvyys eteen ja taaksepäin on hyvä. Ajaminen kannattaisi olla myös vasemmalla kaistalla (ohituskaista tai kaikkein nopein kaista) ettei tule ongelmia sen kanssa ettei nää sivulla olevaa autoa.
Sisältä auto on mukavasti vartaloa tukeva ja urheilullisen oloinen. Tosin kun sinne saa lopulta itsensä ängettyä niin on sellainen olo ettei sieltä pääse enää pois. Oma mielipiteeni on ettei tätä autoa ole suunniteltu 180cm (tai yli) miehille.
Polkimet ja vaihdekeppi ovat metallisen värisiä ja tuovat lisää sitä urheilullisuuden tuntua. Hauska ominaisuus oli että käynnistettäessä autoa menee kaikki mittarit (kierrosluku ja nopeus) hetkeksi ääriasentoonsa. Enää vaan sellainen vaarallisen oloinen murahdus puuttuu.
Valitettavasti moottorista ja sen tehoista ei ole hirveästi kerrottavaa koska oma ajamiseni oli lähinnä rauhallista liukumista. Mitään äkkinäisiä hyppyjä auto ei kuitenkaan tehnyt ja kytkin otti kiinni hyvin tasaisesti. Lisää tietoa Audin sivuilta http://www.audi.fi/fi/brand/fi/models/tt.html

At last at last there’s something new to tell about because we took a glance at Audi’s version of a small sportscar called TT.
Audi TT is shaped very roundy…as a matter in fact I doubt if the car has any corners in its body. TT is also very low and the doors are big compared to the overall size. Big doors usually bring help getting in and out but when you are parked in a parking lot at a local supermarket, they don’t seem to be so handy anymore. This is because of the wide space they need for opening.
There is not much of a side window or at least it’s very low. You should really be driving in a wide road and preferably forwards with this car. The visibility is good to front and reasonable to the behind. You should also use the overtaking lane (or the fastest lane possible) to avoid the side visibility problem. because it’s really terrible with that eeny weeny window.
The TT has fairly supportive seats and looks sporty from inside. Then again, after you have fitted yourself inside the car, you somehow get a scary thought of not being able to get out anymore. I think that this isn’t exactly designed for men over 180cm.
The pedals and the gearswitch have a metallish looks and bring more of the sportyness. It was also the first time I saw that when you start a car, all the indicators went from low to top and then returned to the neutral position. I only missed a dangerous sound of a growl.
Unfortunately I have not much to say about the engine and the power because the driving I had this time was mostly calm cruising. No sudden movements and the clutch worked well and sharp. More information about TT here: http://www.audi.com/com/brand/en/models/tt.html
